I\u2019ve decided it doesn&#8217;t have to mean that I have indeed baked dragons (or worse!) and as this was a folded filo parcel kinda pudding puff it shall remain, as it really wasn&#8217;t strudel like. Well sort of but not really. Maybe I need to invent a new word, something catchy like Strupuff or Puffdel perhaps? Yeah, me neither.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Anyway I digress, this was one of those emergency puddings after realising I had half a packet of Filo pastry leftover from baking the strudel, which kinda needed eating 24 hours earlier but a quick sniff and visual check I deemed it was fine, fortunately I had wrapped it in damp paper towel which had kept it moist enough too, as filo is rather evil and dries out so fast! Whilst I had already made a cake for the impending family visit that evening, they are all good eaters and I thought they wouldn\u2019t mind an extra pudding or two! I did joke it was my gigantic size cheffy man size trio of desserts!! I think with my boyfriend being away at the time I was missing cooking for two and it was lovely to have my dad and brother over to feed!&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The pudding was purely made up as I went along throwing nice things together quickly\u2013 the marzipan was leftover in the fridge from when I made the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/anneskitchen1.blogspot.co.uk\/2014\/09\/raspberry-and-rose-swedish-princess.html#.VJng_sgMw\" style=\"color: #8e1d59; text-decoration-line: none;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GBBO Swedish Princess tortlettes<\/a>, the beloved Polish cocoa is always in the store-cupboard and the mincemeat was from a half opened jar at some point earlier this year&#8230; I do like a recipe that uses up odds n sods! Oh and the brandy was \u2018borrowed\u2019 from my dearest\u2019s special imported bottle from South Africa\u2026shh!<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><u>Serves 4:<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/div>\n<p>210g mincemeat<br \/>70g marzipan, roughly chopped into \u00bd cm chunks<br \/>10g cocoa powder<br \/>2 tbsp brandy<br \/>50g butter, melted<br \/>4 sheets filo pastry<br \/>2 tbsp icing sugar<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Method<\/b>:<\/p>\n<p>Pre-heat oven to 210o.<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">On a larger sheet of foil or parchment paper, lay out a sheet of filo at &nbsp;a landscape angle and brush with melted butter, repeat with the remaining 3 sheets, to form a thick rectangle.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Combine the mincemeat, cocoa, marzipan and brandy until nicely mixed. Spoon the filling down the middle of the pastry, leaving an inch from the ends.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-AJsIoBHF_oA\/VJnisvijtQI\/AAAAAAAAsQo\/OzCc_-flI7c\/s1600\/Chocolate%2C%2Bmincemeat%2Band%2Bmarzipan%2Bstrudel%2B(5).JPG\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"color: #8e1d59; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-decoration-line: none;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/cvnextjob.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/chocolate2c2bmincemeat2band2bmarzipan2bstrudel2b5.jpg\" class=\"wp-image-95518\" style=\"border: none; padding: 8px; position: relative;\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fold up the left and right sides inwards, brush the top half of the filo with butter, fold up the bottom half and gently tease over the top sheet to overlap.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-tufYzi4IUrU\/VJnjZDQxNpI\/AAAAAAAAsQw\/_GUuSYRVkJM\/s1600\/Chocolate%2C%2Bmincemeat%2Band%2Bmarzipan%2Bstrudel%2B(9).JPG\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"color: #8e1d59; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-decoration-line: none;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/cvnextjob.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/chocolate2c2bmincemeat2band2bmarzipan2bstrudel2b9.jpg\" class=\"wp-image-95519\" style=\"border: none; padding: 8px; position: relative;\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brush liberally with butter and sprinkle over half the icing sugar.
