When an email appeared in my inbox at the end of last year to try the new Bart Blends range I jumped at the opportunity to receive some to play with though making room has been a bit of a challenge!<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-fKBYCYr0bRE\/UzhNxeFM4YI\/AAAAAAAAf9w\/aF5VgHPtaBM\/s1600\/DSC06553.JPG\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"color: #8e1d59; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-decoration-line: none;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"213\" src=\"http:\/\/cvnextjob.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/dsc06553.jpg\" class=\"wp-image-95375\" style=\"border: none; padding: 8px; position: relative;\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since their arrival I have been playing with several of them and one of my favourites was this&nbsp;Tandoori&nbsp;Beef&nbsp;Kofta Masala I made \u2013 so much so that I\u2019ve now used up all of my Tandoori Masala tin after recreating it several times! It\u2019s a gorgeous blend of spices, fragrant, not to spicy (though add a little more chilli powder if you fancy it spicy!) It also makes a lush spicy beetroot soup too! These ones fortunately are delicious and serve well to erase bad memories! The sauce is fragrant, delicious and quite mild as B doesn&#8217;t care for much heat, and nor does my silly stomach at times but do feel free to add a little extra chilli if you prefer a bit more bite to it!<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Serves 3 \/ 4 adults<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Ingredients<\/b>:<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 large white onion, diced<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 large green pepper, cut into 1cm chunks<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">400g lean Beef steak mince<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00bd tbsp ginger and garlic puree<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">1.5 tbsp Bart Blends Tandoori Masala<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tin good quality chopped tomatoes<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">2 tbsp sunflower oil<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 beaten egg<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 heaped tbsp dried breadcrumbs<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">3 tbsp yoghurt or cr\u00e8me fraiche<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">S&amp;P<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Method:<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a large mixing bowl combine the mince, egg, breadcrumbs and a little salt and pepper, roll into 16 meatballs and put to one side<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heat a large saut\u00e9 pan, soften the onion in the oil, add the pepper and fry until lightly browned and nearly cooked through\u2013 about 5 minutes.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add the spice powder along with the garlic and ginger, fry for a further minute and stir in the tomatoes, cover and simmer on a medium heat for ten minutes.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Transfer the mixture to a blender and blitz until smooth (or use a hand blender), return to the pan and place the meatballs in the pan spaced a little apart and poach in the sauce for at least 5 minutes, covered, before gently turning around as you don\u2019t want them to break up!&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-PptXH8LEAXM\/UzbH07ns2gI\/AAAAAAAAf9Q\/hF5RVHckPrE\/s1600\/Tandoori+Beef+Kofta++Masala+(5).JPG\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"color: #8e1d59; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-decoration-line: none;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"266\" src=\"http:\/\/cvnextjob.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/tandooribeefkoftamasala5.jpg\" class=\"wp-image-95377\" style=\"border: none; padding: 8px; position: relative;\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Simmer gently for 30 minutes, season to taste with salt and pepper. Bart Blends Pilau spice is gently fragrant and my brother in particular was very impressed with it!<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 cup basamati rice<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">1.5 cups water<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 heaped tsp Bart Blends Pilau Rice<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heat a medium to large sized saucepan, add the Pilau spice and warm for a couple of minutes to release the fragrance, add the rice followed by the water, cover and bring to the boil for 2 minutes, turn off the heat and allow to rest, covered for 10 minutes or until the liquid has all absorbed.
