Independent researchers who want to tackle the most important questions in science and who are leaders in their field will be supported by the program. The duration of the program is up to 7 years.\u00a0Applicants can renew for up to 5 years. The fellowship may be held on a part-time basis.<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><i><\/i>\u00a0Benefits<\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A basic salary determined by host organisation for up to 7 years (after renewal 50% of basic salary up to 5 years)<\/li>\n<li>A fellowship supplement of\u00a0\u00a312500 if you are paid on a non-clinical salary scale<\/li>\n<li>Personal removal expenses<\/li>\n<li>Research related expenses<\/li>\n<li>If you are outside the European Economic Area and your host organisation is in the UK\u00a0you\u2019re guaranteed an endorsement of a Visa application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h3><i><\/i>\u00a0Eligibilities<\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants currently leading own independent\u00a0research programme<\/li>\n<li>Should have a higher degree\u00a0(PhD or equivalent) and significant research experience<\/li>\n<li>You should be able to show:\n<ul>\n<li>your work is important, original and has impact<\/li>\n<li>you have made important contributions to your area of research<\/li>\n<li>you are developing an international reputation as a research leader in your field<\/li>\n<li>you\u2019re committed to developing and mentoring less experienced researchers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Your host organisation must be located in one of the following:\n<ul>\n<li>UK<\/li>\n<li>Republic of Ireland<\/li>\n<li>a low-or-middle-income country (only nationals of low- or middle-income countries have this third option)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Any applicants having senior\u00a0a senior fellowship supported by another funding body, can apply for a Senior Research Fellowship of up to 5 years (not 7 years) with a 50%\u00a0salary contribution, In this case, you will not be able to apply for renewal<\/li>\n<li>Your research proposal must\n<ul>\n<li>be within Wellcome\u2019s science remit<\/li>\n<li>describe an innovative and ambitious programme of work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p> <a href=\"http:\/\/univerwork.com\/senior-research-fellowships-2018-2\">#Senior #Research #Fellowships 2018<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JOBS\/INTERSHIPS\/TRAININGS\u00a0\u2013 UNIVERWORK.COM Follow @PettisFight \u00a0 Application Deadline:\u00a0November 12, 2018 Eligible Regions:\u00a0Open for All. \u00a0 The 2nd and 3rd round of application for Senior Research Fellowships 2018 has been opened.
