The Paul Farmer Global Surgery Fellowship was created\u00a0to train leaders who will further promote surgical care, education, and research pertinent to global surgery. \u00a0Fellows will\u00a0develop academic, clinical, and administrative skills in global surgery, public health, surgical systems development, and humanitarian aid. Throughout the course of the Fellowship, there will be a focus on developing a skill set necessary to treat conditions common in resource-poor settings.<\/p>\n

Please click on the links below for application instructions as well as additional information about the available tracks within the Fellowship.<\/p>\n

Research Fellow Track<\/span><\/a>:\u00a0This is a two-year position for those who are\u00a0currently in surgical training or residency, and who wish to take time off during their training to conduct research. \u00a0All surgical subspecialties are encouraged to apply, including general surgery, OBGYN, orthopedic surgery, and neurosurgery.<\/p>\n

Interested fellows\u00a0may also incorporate a Masters of Public Health degree during their fellowship, but this option is not compulsory. \u00a0Please note that the MPH is a separate application through the Harvard School of Public Health. \u00a0Tuition and fees associated with\u00a0the MPH program will be the responsibility of the Fellow.<\/p>\n
