Description<\/h1>\n

The UN Volunteer will support the UN Environment Mexico country office in the development and implementation of the UN Environmen\u00b4s Green Economy Initiative and Mexico\u00b4s Climate Change agenda (through the country\u00b4s NDCs) towards the fulfilment of its commitments related in the Paris Agreement which will especially involve: i) the fostering of the private sector participation in climate change agenda by
promoting green and inclusive investments in diverse sectors; ii) implementing a national programme on PV solar distributed electric generation among Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) including the promotion of clean technology transfer in several regions of the country; iii) participate in the definition of projects related to ecosystem based adaptation on cities, Blue Economy in the Ocean agenda and the TEEB (The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity) in the agricultural and water sectors. Furthermore, the UN Volunteer will support further work being implemented by the Mexico Country Office, in areas related to climate change and biodiversity and in accordance with his\/her interests and learning objectives.<\/p>\n
