If you have applied for a two-year programme, make sure you read the information about two-year study programmes below.<\/li>\n<li>Have a look at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.utwente.nl\/en\/education\/international-students\/preparing\/getting-ready\/\">overview of the estimated costs of living<\/a>\u00a0when studying at the University of Twente (excluding tuition fees).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"normal\">Please note: This scholarship is meant as a compensation for study related costs. It is up to the scholarship student to decide how to spend the money. No costs (e.g. tuition fees) will be paid on your behalf.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"foldabledeeplink foldabledeeplink--disabled foldabledeeplink--active\">\n<h2 class=\"heading2 foldabledeeplink__title\"><a id=\"two-year-study-programme\" class=\"wh-anchor\" data-scrollevent=\"0\"><\/a>TWO-YEAR STUDY PROGRAMME<\/h2>\n<div class=\"foldabledeeplink__foldcontainer\">\n<div class=\"foldabledeeplink__text\">\n<p class=\"normal\">In case of a two-year study programme, students can receive an additional UTS of an amount equal to that in the first year to cover the expenses of the second year. However, the scholarship will only be continued during the second year when students meet the process requirements for the UTS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">You must have obtained:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"unordered\">\n<li>An average grade of 7 (out of 10) at the end of the third quartile of the first year<\/li>\n<li>At least 50% of European Credits at the end of the third quartile of the first year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"foldabledeeplink foldabledeeplink--disabled foldabledeeplink--active\">\n<h2 class=\"heading2 foldabledeeplink__title\"><a id=\"additional-scholarship\" class=\"wh-anchor\" data-scrollevent=\"0\"><\/a>ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP<\/h2>\n<div class=\"foldabledeeplink__foldcontainer\">\n<div class=\"foldabledeeplink__text\">\n<p class=\"normal\">An additional scholarship can be awarded to UTS recipients (only for programmes starting in September 2022):<\/p>\n<ul class=\"unordered\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.utwente.nl\/en\/education\/scholarship-finder\/kipaji-scholarship\/\">Kipaji Scholarship<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"normal\">You need to apply for a University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) in order to be eligible for a Kipaji Scholarship.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">This scholarship has additional requirements. Please make sure you check the information of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.utwente.nl\/en\/education\/scholarship-finder\/kipaji-scholarship\/\">Kipaji Scholarship programme<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"foldabledeeplink__text\">\n<p class=\"normal\">In order to be eligible for a the University of Twente Scholarship, you should meet\u00a0<b>all\u00a0<\/b>the requirements below<\/p>\n<ul class=\"unordered\">\n<li>Application for an UT scholarship is a procedure separate from the application for course entry at the University of Twente. Regardless of funding, you will need to gain an admission letter first.<\/li>\n<li>You have been<b>\u00a0(provisionally) admitted<\/b>\u00a0to one of the qualifying UT Master programmes\u00a0starting in the academic year 2023\/2024 (September). Please note: After completion of your application, it may take up to 8 weeks before you receive the results.<\/li>\n<li>You must have a studentnumber.<\/li>\n<li>You have not graduated from a UT (under)graduate programme;<\/li>\n<li>You comply with the conditions for obtaining an entry visa in the Netherlands (if applicable);<\/li>\n<li>You comply with the general English language test requirement Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT of 90) and an additional 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the subscore of speaking skills<\/li>\n<li>You are not eligible for a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/duo.nl\/particulier\/student-finance\/eligibility.jsp\">Dutch study loan<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>The University Twente Scholarship is a scholarship for excellent students.
