A limited number of places are also allocated to non-EU nationals.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"full-html-body\">\n<div class=\"ecl-container\">\n<div class=\"eac-body\">\n<h2>Eligibility<\/h2>\n<p>The traineeship programme is open to university graduates who:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>have completed a standard 3-year higher education degree<\/strong>\u00a0(minimum EQF 6 level), corresponding to a complete Bachelor\u2019s cycle, or equivalent. Only if you have a certificate or official confirmation from your university that you have such a degree will you be eligible to apply. You will have to provide the following documents:\n<ul>\n<li>diplomas or certificates with final grades clearly indicated<\/li>\n<li>and proof of minimum EQF 6 level.\u00a0<a class=\" eac-external-link\" href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/europass\/en\/european-qualifications-framework-eqf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find out more about EQF levels<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>have no prior work experience of any kind<\/strong>, in excess of\u00a0<strong>6 weeks<\/strong>\u00a0in any\u00a0<a class=\" eac-external-link\" href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/european-union\/contact\/institutions-bodies_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EU institution, body or agency<\/a>, delegation, with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), or Advocates General at the Court of Justice of the European Union (EUCJ)<\/li>\n<li><strong>have a very good knowledge of languages:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>For the\u00a0<strong>administrative traineeship<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 you must have a very good knowledge of two EU official languages, one of which must be a working language: English, French or German at C1 or C2 level as per the\u00a0<a class=\" eac-external-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/en\/web\/common-european-framework-reference-languages\/level-descriptions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Common European Framework of Reference for Languages<\/a>\u00a0and a second one at B2 level at least as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. For non-EU nationals, only one procedural language is required at C1 or C2 level.<\/li>\n<li>For the\u00a0<strong>translation traineeship<\/strong>\u00a0in the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) &#8211; you must be able to translate into your main\/target language (normally your mother tongue), from two other official EU languages (\u2018source languages\u2019<strong>*<\/strong>).:\n<ul>\n<li>your main\/target language must be one of the\u00a0<a class=\" eac-external-link\" href=\"https:\/\/european-union.europa.eu\/principles-countries-history\/languages_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official EU languages<\/a><\/li>\n<li>your first source language for translation must be a working language of the EU: English, French or German<\/li>\n<li>your second source language can be any of the official EU languages with at least B2-level proficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>*\u00a0<\/strong><small>At least one of the\u00a0<strong>source languages<\/strong>\u00a0you offer must be French, English or German. This is because<\/small><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><small>the EU receives a large volume of translations and documents in French, English or German<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>French, English and German are the languages that EU staff members most frequently use in their work<\/small><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><small>Most documents sent to DGT in languages other than French, English and German come from the Member States. Some documents come from international organisations and national associations that write to the Commission in English.<\/small><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>No points are awarded for the mother tongue and, therefore, no evidence of this is required.<\/p>\n<p>If you have more than one mother tongue and wish to receive points for them, you can declare these in the \u2018Other languages\u2019 section of the application provided you can supply appropriate written evidence of this.<\/p>\n<p>Additional points are given for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>work experience<\/li>\n<li>international profile demonstrated through education, work or volunteering experience abroad, and aptitude to work in an international environment<\/li>\n<li>rare fields of study<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are not selected you will have to submit your application again. However, you must justify them in the box provided for this purpose in the application form.<\/p>\n<p data-v-75cc1a72=\"\"><strong data-v-75cc1a72=\"\">9.\u00a0<\/strong>For\u00a0<strong data-v-75cc1a72=\"\">numerical skills<\/strong>, proof is not compulsory but only recommended.
