{"id":82187,"date":"2022-01-22T17:52:08","date_gmt":"2022-01-22T17:52:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/plopandrei.com\/?p=82187"},"modified":"2022-01-22T17:52:08","modified_gmt":"2022-01-22T17:52:08","slug":"utrecht-excellence-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cvnextjob.com\/index.php\/2022\/01\/22\/utrecht-excellence-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Utrecht Excellence Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-82188\" src=\"http:\/\/plopandrei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/1_prnnhpoygspxjcp3dd6dww.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"365\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship (UES) is\u00a0a highly selective programme meant for talented international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA = the EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) who seek to pursue a Master\u2019s degree at Utrecht University.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility Criteria<\/h3>\n<p>To be eligible for an Utrecht Excellence Scholarship, the following criteria must be met:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Belong to the top 10% of your graduating class;<\/li>\n<li>Not hold an EU\/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans;<\/li>\n<li>Have completed your secondary school and\/or Bachelor&#8217;s degree outside the Netherlands;<\/li>\n<li>Have applied for an international Master\u2019s programme with a start date of 1 September, 2022. Not all programmes participate, please check\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uu.nl\/masters\/en\/general-information\/international-students\/financial-matters\/grants-and-scholarships\/www.uu.nl\/masters\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">UU masters<\/a>\u00a0&gt; Master\u2019s programme &gt; Tuition fees and financial support to see if the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship is mentioned as a scholarship opportunity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Scholarship amount<\/h3>\n<p>The Utrecht Excellence scholarship can be awarded as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>tuition fees<br \/>\nor<\/li>\n<li>tuition fees plus the required income linked to a residence permit for study as set by the Immigration and Naturalisation Service, for one year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a 2-years Master&#8217;s programme the scholarship can be renewed for the second year.<\/p>\n<h3>Deadline<\/h3>\n<p>Prospective students who wish to be considered for the scholarship must apply\u00a0<strong>before<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>31 January 2022\u00a0(23:59 CET)<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>after which the application portal will be closed.\u00a0Selection will only start after the deadline and we aim to communicate the results before mid-April.<\/p>\n<h3>Selection criteria<\/h3>\n<p>Eligible candidates are selected for a scholarship on the basis of the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Academic quality and promise in the proposed field of study, as evidenced by your Master\u2019s application;<\/li>\n<li>Academic excellence, as evidenced by proof of belonging to the top 10% of your graduating class (class ranking certificate, GPA with grade distribution overview, statement\/reference letter signed and stamped by your University);<\/li>\n<li>The quality and relevance of the motivation letter for the Master\u2019s programme (academic content, intercultural and communication skills, personal motivation);<\/li>\n<li>The quality of the application for the Master\u2019s programme itself (completeness, accuracy, consistency).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"dummy\">How to apply<\/h3>\n<p>After submitting an application (or applications) for an UES eligible Master\u2019s programme, before the determined deadline, non-EU\/EEA students will have the option to submit an application for\u00a0<strong>one\u00a0<\/strong>Utrecht Excellence Scholarship\u00a0<strong>from\u00a01 November 2021<\/strong>.\u00a0You will see the UES application(s) in your Osiris Online Application account dashboard.\u00a0Click\u00a0<em>view\/edit<\/em>\u00a0for the UES linked to the programme you wish to apply for, upload the requested proof of belonging to the top 10%, answer the questions and submit the application.<\/p>\n<h3>Funding<\/h3>\n<p>The funds for the scholarships come from the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship Fund, established by Utrecht University and from contributions by Utrecht University alumni.<\/p>\n<p>For more information please open this link<br \/>\nApply Here<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uu.nl\/masters\/en\/general-information\/international-students\/financial-matters\/grants-and-scholarships\/utrecht-excellence-scholarships\">https:\/\/www.uu.nl\/masters\/en\/general-information\/international-students\/financial-matters\/grants-and-scholarships\/utrecht-excellence-scholarships<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship (UES) is\u00a0a highly selective programme meant for talented international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA = the EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) who seek to pursue a Master\u2019s degree at Utrecht University.
