In the past ten years that the programme has been running, many successful entrepreneurs received support that helped them expand.<\/p>\n<p>She Entrepreneurs is a practical and hands-on leadership training based on real business experiences, collaborative learning and participant-centric design. The programme provides tangible tools, insights and connections for participants who want to grow their businesses and develop as entrepreneurs, as well as leaders.<\/p>\n<p>The programme runs over six months. Photo: Moa Karlberg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"info\">\n<h3><strong>Can I apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You are welcome to submit your application if you are a woman entrepreneur between the age of 22 and 45 (born 1976 \u2013 2000) with a business that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>is already operational and ready to expand;<\/li>\n<li>has the potential to develop a financially sustainable business model, generate a positive social impact, and contribute to the\u00a0<a tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/sustainable-development-goals\/\">Sustainable Development Goals<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>is based in Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia or Turkey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, you should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have a proficient command of both written and spoken English;<\/li>\n<li>be willing to pay it forward by contributing at least two hours of pro bono mentorship to a junior entrepreneur in your home country during the programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note that we are not able to make any exceptions to the eligibility requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Programme Timeline<\/h2>\n<p>She Entrepreneurs runs for six months (April \u2013 September, 2022) and consists of regular workshops, learning groups and \u00a0mentor support online.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Online training<br \/>\n<\/strong>The training is set up with a highly practical approach that allows you to apply learnings and insights directly to your business. Regular online workshops are organised on different topics that help you grow your turnover and operations, build a resilient leadership and team, and increase your social or environmental contribution. The workshops are led by experienced entrepreneurs and trainers. Joint workshops and smaller learning groups give plenty of opportunities to meet other entrepreneurs in similar situations and to make new connections.<\/li>\n<li>The training kicks off with a one-hour introduction meeting, followed by two half-day sessions (21 \u2013 22 April). The seminars that follow are typically held every second week during 1.5 \u2013 2 hours on Friday mornings, plus 1 hour of individual preparations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Online mentorship<br \/>\n<\/strong>At the start of the programme, you are matched with an individual mentor that will support you throughout the programme. You can also sign up for optional group mentoring sessions with thematic experts on topics that are requested among the participants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>The dates and timings are preliminary and may change. An exact schedule will be sent at the beginning of the programme.<\/div>\n<div class=\"info\">\n<h3>Costs covered and arranged by Swedish Institute<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Training and content<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"steps-1\" class=\"steps__item js-toggle js-state-toggle-active js-state-toggle-open\" data-toggle=\"#steps-1\" aria-controls=\"steps-1\" aria-expanded=\"true\">\n<h3 class=\"steps__item-title\">1. Apply<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"steps__item-content\">\n<div class=\"steps__item-text\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Only applicants who have submitted a complete application will be considered for the programme. Evaluation of applications<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"steps__item-content\">\n<div class=\"steps__item-text\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>The Swedish Institute appoints a selection committee consisting of senior entrepreneurs and field experts. Each application is evaluated by two different members of the selection committee.<\/p>\n<p>Each application is evaluated according to the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The potential of the applicant\u2019s business:<br \/>\n\u2013 to develop a financially sustainable business model<br \/>\n\u2013 to contribute to the\u00a0<a tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/sustainable-development-goals\/\">Sustainable Development Goals<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The applicant\u2019s drive, motivation and commitment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"steps-3\" class=\"steps__item js-toggle js-state-toggle-active js-state-toggle-open\" data-toggle=\"#steps-3\" aria-controls=\"steps-3\" aria-expanded=\"true\">\n<h3 class=\"steps__item-title\">3. Interviews<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"steps__item-content\">\n<div class=\"steps__item-text\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Out of all applicants, around 60 shortlisted candidates are called for interviews as a second step in the selection process. The interviews are conducted online.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"steps-4\" class=\"steps__item js-toggle js-state-toggle-active js-state-toggle-open\" data-toggle=\"#steps-4\" aria-controls=\"steps-4\" aria-expanded=\"true\">\n<h3 class=\"steps__item-title\">4. Admission<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"steps__item-content\">\n<div class=\"steps__item-text\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>SI contacts 30 selected applicants by email and offers them a place in the programme. SI also composes a list of reserve candidates in case a second selection round is needed.
