There are a number of scholarships available each year for fee-paying international students who are applying to an international Bachelor\u2019s or Master’s programme at Uppsala University.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some scholarships are specifically designated for students who are applying to one of Uppsala University\u2019s Master\u2019s programmes, while others are open to both Master\u2019s and Bachelor\u2019s applicants. Some scholarships are open for all citizens of a country outside of the European Union (EU)\/European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, while others are only open to citizens of certain countries.<\/p>\n

The scholarships available for application may vary from year to year. The list of citizenships that are eligible for the King Carl Gustaf Scholarship also varies from year to year. Before you submit your application(s), be sure to read the information about each scholarship thoroughly and that you understand the conditions. You may apply to more than one scholarship, as long as you fulfil the eligibility criteria. However, it is only possible to receive one scholarship from Uppsala University.<\/p>\n

The scholarships are only for\u00a0on-campus programmes based in Uppsala or on Gotland, and for programmes mainly taught at Uppsala University.\u00a0You can\u00a0only be awarded a scholarship for programmes that you apply via\u00a0universityadmissions.se<\/a>. However, you cannot be awarded a scholarship for the Master’s programmes in\u00a0Implementation, Transformative Learning and Sustainability, Religion in Peace and Conflict,\u00a0Turkic Studies, Biology Genetic and Molecular Plant Science,\u00a0Biology NABiS Nordic Master in Biodiversity and Systematics, or the\u00a0Joint Nordic Master’s Programme in Environmental Law.<\/p>\n

APPLICATION PERIOD<\/h2>\n

The application period for scholarships provided by Uppsala University for prospective students is from 18 January to 1 February 2022.<\/p>\n

The deadline is 23:59 CET (Central European Time) 1 February 2022. Please consider the time zone. Applications received after the deadline will not be processed.<\/p>\n

HOW TO APPLY<\/h2>\n

In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must first submit an application for a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at Uppsala University on\u00a0www.universityadmissions.se<\/a>\u00a0between 18 October 2021 and 17 January 2022. The programme\u00a0at Uppsala University must be\u00a0ranked<\/a>\u00a0as your first priority of choice. The scholarship application period starts after this step.<\/p>\n

To apply for our scholarships, you need to submit an online application form during the scholarship application period. Access to the application form will be available on this page during the scholarship application period 18 January \u2013 1 February 2022.<\/p>\n

We will also review\u00a0the supporting documents\u00a0that you submit for your programme application at\u00a0www.universityadmissions.se<\/a>.\u00a0Therefore, you do not need to submit any extra documents in your scholarship application form.<\/p>\n
