The scholarship covers the full study and living costs during the Master\u2019s degree course.<\/p>\n<h2><button id=\"tab-accordion1-item0\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__header tab-accordion-container__header--open\" aria-controls=\"tab-accordion1-item0-content\" aria-expanded=\"true\">Application <\/button><\/h2>\n<div id=\"tab-accordion1-item0-content\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__content\" tabindex=\"\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"tab-accordion1-item0\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"accordionitem basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent contains-textimage\"><a id=\"par_textimage\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"textimage basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"textimage__wrapper  is-first is-last \">\n<div class=\"text-image  cq-dd-image\">\n<p>ESOP applications are supplied via <a class=\"eth-link\" title=\"eApply\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lehrbetrieb.ethz.ch\/eApply\/ealogin.view?lang=en\">eApply<\/a> (online Master application).<br \/>\nThis also applies for ETH Bachelor students for a consecutive Master programme.<\/p>\n<h2><button id=\"tab-accordion1-item1\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__header tab-accordion-container__header--open\" aria-controls=\"tab-accordion1-item1-content\" aria-expanded=\"true\">Eligibility\/Prerequisites <\/button><\/h2>\n<div id=\"tab-accordion1-item1-content\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__content\" tabindex=\"\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"tab-accordion1-item1\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"accordionitem basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent contains-textimage\"><a id=\"par_textimage\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"textimage basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"textimage__wrapper  is-first is-last \">\n<div class=\"text-image  cq-dd-image\">\n<p>1. Very good result in Bachelor\u2019s degree programme (top 10% of Bachelor\u2019s degree programme = grade A)<br \/>\n2. Please make sure to be reachable under the telephone number specified in your CV as the selection process might include a phone\/VC interview in February<br \/>\nIf you are already enrolled in a Master&#8217;s degree programme at ETH Zurich, or hold a Master degree, you are not eligible for ESOP.<\/p>\n<h2><button id=\"tab-accordion1-item2\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__header tab-accordion-container__header--open flying-focus_target\" aria-controls=\"tab-accordion1-item2-content\" aria-expanded=\"true\">Application window <\/button><\/h2>\n<div id=\"tab-accordion1-item2-content\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__content\" tabindex=\"\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"tab-accordion1-item2\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"accordionitem basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent contains-textimage\"><a id=\"par_textimage\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"textimage basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"textimage__wrapper  is-first is-last \">\n<div class=\"text-image  cq-dd-image\">\n<p>For an ESOP Scholarship you must apply within the first application window.<\/p>\n<h2><button id=\"tab-accordion1-item3\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__header tab-accordion-container__header--open\" aria-controls=\"tab-accordion1-item3-content\" aria-expanded=\"true\">Application documents <\/button><\/h2>\n<div id=\"tab-accordion1-item3-content\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__content\" tabindex=\"\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"tab-accordion1-item3\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"accordionitem basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent contains-textimage\"><a id=\"par_textimage\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"textimage basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"textimage__wrapper  is-first is-last \">\n<div class=\"text-image  cq-dd-image\">\n<p>In addition to the documents for the Master admission you will need to upload a <b>pre-\u200bproposal<\/b> for your master thesis.<br \/>\nSee specifications <a class=\"eth-link\" title=\"guidelines_preproposal\" href=\"\/content\/dam\/ethz\/main\/education\/finanzielles\/files-de\/Guidelines_Preproposal.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here (PDF, 70 KB)<span class=\"material-icons\" aria-hidden=\"true\">vertical_align_bottom<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The pre-\u200bproposal for the Master&#8217;s thesis must be developed by yourself and use established scientific citation practice.<br \/>\nPlagiarism, negligent or intentional misinformation will lead to exclusion from the admission process or &#8211; if discovered later &#8211; to the revocation of the admission and of any scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>If your study programme does not ask for references you must name two reference persons for your ESOP application.<\/p>\n<h2><button id=\"tab-accordion1-item4\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__header tab-accordion-container__header--open\" aria-controls=\"tab-accordion1-item4-content\" aria-expanded=\"true\">Scholarship amount and duration <\/button><\/h2>\n<div id=\"tab-accordion1-item4-content\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__content\" tabindex=\"\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"tab-accordion1-item4\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"accordionitem basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent contains-textimage\"><a id=\"par_textimage\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"textimage basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"textimage__wrapper  is-first is-last \">\n<div class=\"text-image  cq-dd-image\">\n<p>The <b>Excellence Scholarship\/ESOP<\/b> consists of a scholarship covering living and study expenses (CHF 12&#8217;000 per semester) as well as a tuition fee waiver.<br \/>\nESOP is awarded for the regular duration of the Master\u2019s programme (three or four semesters). This also applies for the tuition fee waiver.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2><button id=\"tab-accordion1-item5\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__header tab-accordion-container__header--open\" aria-controls=\"tab-accordion1-item5-content\" aria-expanded=\"true\">Selection process <\/button><\/h2>\n<div id=\"tab-accordion1-item5-content\" class=\"tab-accordion-container__content\" tabindex=\"\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"tab-accordion1-item5\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"accordionitem basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"par parsys basecomponent contains-textimage\"><a id=\"par_textimage\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"textimage basecomponent\">\n<div class=\"textimage__wrapper  is-first is-last \">\n<div class=\"text-image  cq-dd-image\">\n<p>For the start in the academic year 2022\/23 there will be assigned approximately 60 ESOP scholarships.<br \/>\nThe applications are evaluated by the Admissions Committees of the respective Master\u2019s programmes. The final decision for awarding scholarships in the Excellence Scholarship &amp; Opportunity Programme rests with the Rector of ETH Zurich. The exact number of annual scholarships depends on the availability of funds.
