GCA\u2019s global strategy is implemented under three pillars of Knowledge, Programs, and Advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) V20 Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the work of the Climate Vulnerable Forum\u2019s V20 work stream. They will assist in the planning and organizing of work stream activities.<\/p>\n<p>This role is within the CVF &amp; V20 Support Program and reports to the V20 Program Coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Areas of responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As detailed below, the Program Assistant will focus on contributing to the V20 work including in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Administration: Provide the administrative support necessary to ensure the effective running of the V20 operations. This can include contracting service providers, supporting the preparation of travel arrangements, managing correspondence, and arranging meetings, among others.<\/li>\n<li>Communications: Support internal and external communication processes, including through liaison with V20 members and partners in Rotterdam or abroad; website updating; social media management; and other related tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Programmatic support: Contribute to the implementation of the V20\u2019s different activities according to need through the performance of tasks such as document drafting, desk research, support in the organization of program-related events, and further tasks as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, the Program Assistant may be requested to perform any other relevant tasks of an organizational or substantive nature as directed by the supervisor according to evolving V20 programmatic and project needs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rt-details__heading rt__text--dark\"><span class=\"rt-details__separator\">REQUIREMENTS<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"rt-details__content--requirements rt__text--base\">\n<p><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Currently enrolled in relevant studies in a bachelor or master\u2019s level program, holding a bachelor level degree\/equivalent and enrolled but pending course commencement in a relevant master\u2019s degree or equivalent (advanced degree), or, in certain cases, have recently completed a relevant advanced degree or holding such a degree and seeking professional re-orientation.<\/p>\n<p>Relevant\u00a0studies include: International Affairs\/Relations, International Development Studies, International Law, Public Policy, Human Rights, Environmental Studies, or related fields.<\/p>\n<p><u>Experience<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Previous work experience or demonstrated interest in non-profit operations or in sustainable development, climate change and\/or environmental protection policy and communication projects.
