The candidate would ideally start in December 2021.<\/p>\n<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p>As policy &amp; project support officer, you will work with Eurocities environment team to support ongoing project work in the areas of energy, climate change and environment. In this role, you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the policy advisor to manage Eurocities project:\n<ul>\n<li>contact cities to inform them about the project and recruit them<\/li>\n<li>liaise with project partners<\/li>\n<li>organise project events and meetings with EU policy-makers<\/li>\n<li>contribute to draft policy recommendations<\/li>\n<li>support dissemination and publication<\/li>\n<li>contribute to capacity buildings activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to the Covenant of Mayors case studies<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the Covenant of Mayors twinning activities<\/li>\n<li>Support the management and organisation of forum and working group meetings in coordination with the policy advisor, the forum\/WG chair(s) and the host city<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to EU policy development in the areas of climate, energy and environment<\/li>\n<li>Analyse environmental policy documents and prepare policy papers<\/li>\n<li>Draft articles for the Eurocities newsletter, and website environmental issues and other communications-related tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile<\/h2>\n<p>You thrive in an environment of rapid change, moving targets, limited resources and high intensity. You are highly flexible and able to work independently and autonomously, while maintaining a team-oriented attitude.<\/p>\n<h3>You have:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in policy and or project implementation<\/li>\n<li>a Masters degree or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>good understanding of the EU institutional framework<\/li>\n<li>good analytical and organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>very good organisational and coordination skills<\/li>\n<li>good oral and written communications skills in English<\/li>\n<li>good interpersonal skills for an international environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Assets:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in working in EU project or policy is beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge and experience in the fields of energy, climate change and environment,<\/li>\n<li>Experience in events management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>We offer<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">a full-time position, either as:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">employee, under Belgian legislation. The selected candidate will need to either live in Belgium or be willing to move to Belgium for the duration of the contract (candidates need to provide a Belgian address).
