The  second letter was found in March by an archivist in Washington, D.C. The  detailed story may be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kansas.com\/news\/local\/story\/218312.html\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ms.  Beddell&#8217;s second letter asked Lincoln for help in finding an entry  level job in the government. It is most likely that President Lincoln  never saw the letter, because Ms. Beddell ended up relocating to Kansas.<\/p>\n<p>Her  original letter ended up in the Detroit Public Library. The original  second letter will remain in the National Archives in Washington.
