In partnership with\u00a0Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay<\/span><\/a>, the\u00a0Paris Institute for Advanced Study<\/a><\/span>\u00a0is offering two 6-month chairs for high level international researchers in the humanities and social sciences (HSS): one \u00a0during the academic year 2018-2019, and one during the academic year 2019-2020.<\/div>\n
The Paris-Saclay \u2013 Paris IAS \u201cJean d\u2019Alembert\u201d Research Chair gives a researcher the possibility to work on a project in the following fields: \u201cMarkets, businesses, work and innovation\u201d, \u201cHeritage, culture and\u00a0 knowledge\u201d, or \u201cSciences and society\u201d. He or she will benefit from the work conditions and the scientific environment of the Paris IAS, and will collaborate chiefly with\u00a0laboratories of Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay<\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n

Applicants may request a\u00a06-month<\/strong>\u00a0residency starting<\/strong><\/div>\n

RESEARCH THEMES<\/h3>\n
The Paris IAS and Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay offer a 6-month research chair in the academic year 2018-2019 and one in the year 2019-2020 on one of the structuring themes supported by the research teams in the humanities and social sciences at Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay. These cross-disciplinary themes are intended for researchers in all disciplines of the HSS: anthropology, economics, geography, history, law, literature and the arts, management, philosophy, political science, sociology\u2026 The chair aims to promote excellent, high risk and\/or transdisciplinary research offering new perspectives for the HSS.<\/div>\n
