{"id":106017,"date":"2018-06-14T16:21:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-14T16:21:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2023-01-08T10:22:36","modified_gmt":"2023-01-08T10:22:36","slug":"call-for-applications-paris-peace-forum-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cvnextjob.com\/index.php\/2018\/06\/14\/call-for-applications-paris-peace-forum-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for #Applications, #Paris #Peace #Forum 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/univerwork.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Call-2Bfor-2BApplications-252C-2BParis-2BPeace-2BForum-2B2018.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/univerwork.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Call-2Bfor-2BApplications-252C-2BParis-2BPeace-2BForum-2B2018.png?resize=750%2C349\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Call-2Bfor-2BApplications-252C-2BParis-2\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><b><a title=\"JOBS\/INTERSHIPS\/TRAININGS | Home page\" href=\"http:\/\/univerwork.com\/\">JOBS\/INTERSHIPS\/TRAININGS<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/univerwork.com\/\">UNIVERWORK.COM<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PettisFight\"><b>Follow @PettisFight<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<div>Inspired by the COP 21 model,\u00a0<strong>the Paris Peace Forum<\/strong>\u00a0will be a forum for discussion and debate with special emphasis on civil society initiatives, and for sharing experiences and innovative solutions involving all the stakeholders in governance:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Heads of State and Government leaders, local and national elected representatives;<\/li>\n<li>regional and international organisations, especially UN agencies;<\/li>\n<li>civil society in its broadest sense: companies, associations, NGOs, foundations, think tanks, media, trade unions, religious leaders, philanthropists, experts, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>With these actors, the Paris Peace Forum aims to strengthen the actions of existing multilateral organisations, primarily the United Nations, and speed up implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).<\/div>\n<div><strong>The Paris Peace Forum<\/strong>\u00a0will also offer the right setting for convening actors from around the world to launch formal initiatives, track-two exercises, mediations and bilateral dialogues.<\/div>\n<div>The expected output of the Forum is take these projects one step further by publicizing them, vetting them through debates in various formats, and having their promoters meet the \u201cimplementers\u201d -states, international bodies like the UN, but also G7, G20, BRICS, OECD, and many others.\u00a0<span>Several\u00a0<\/span>thousand participants\u00a0<span>are expected<\/span>, and 150 projects\u00a0<span>will\u00a0<\/span>be featured in the \u201cSpace of solutions\u201d (the exhibition space).<\/div>\n<div>The other output of the Forum is to testify there is still a constituency for collective action, among states and civil society both in the Global North and the Global South, beyond populism and inter-state tensions -and to mobilize public opinions and leaders for that cause.
